"I was concerned about buying a ring in the Diamond District of NYC. With over 2,600 dealers trying to make a sale, the area can be extremely intimidating. My girlfriend and I, however, braved the crowds one summer day and visited nearly a dozen stores on 47th St. Our first happened to be Leon Zolands & Son, where we met Rob Zoland. Rob was knowledgeable, trustworthy, and—above all else—comforting. His experience lends him the wisdom to understand how intimidating diamond shopping can be for a non-expert consumer. We looked at a few diamond options—along with nearly 100 various setting options—and continued on our way down 47th St. Never did we feel the same level of comfort that we did with Rob Zoland.
"We custom designed a setting that I felt best portrayed my girlfriend’s taste and I waited patiently for the ring to be completed. When I saw the final product a couple of weeks later, I could not have been more impressed. The only thing that was more overwhelmingly positive than my experience with Mr. Zoland was my girlfriend’s reaction to the ring. Her words say it best: “I couldn’t imagine a more perfect ring.” On 12/10/08, I proposed on Bethesda Terrace during a seasonably warm afternoon in Central Park. She said yes. Danielle and I will be married in the fall of 2009. I would recommend that anyone searching for diamonds in New York City give Zoland and Sons consideration for their business. Explore your options, become educated, and always make the decision that you are most comfortable with. For me, this was without a doubt dealing with Rob Zoland. He is a true professional."
